Why is my domain locked?

If this is the case you can simply make a request to your Registrar that your domain name be unlocked. Some Registrars even have tools at their websites that allow you to lock and unlock the domain name yourself.

Be aware that domains can also be locked by the Registrar for the following reasons and cannot be unlocked:
  • Your domain is within 10 days of the expiration date

  • Your domain name may be locked as the result of a dispute being investigated.
