What is a Subdomain?
Subdomain (also known as third-level domain or sub domain) is part of a main domain name.
In general, a domain name has the following format : xxx.com, xxx.org, xxx.net, etc.
But the format of a subdomain is 111.xxx.com, 111.xxx.org, 111.xxx.net, etc.

Subdomains help to organize information within a website. So a company website may use subdomains to classify the different aspects of its contents such as promotions.xyz.com , news.xyz.com and forum.xyz.com.
