What is SMTP server (port 25)?

SMTP (Simple Mail Transport Protocol) is a standard protocol for email transmission.

SMTP server is the server for email transfer, it is also called the Outgoing Mail Server. Port 25 is the standard SMTP server port.

If your service plan includes SMTP server, our setting is:

Example:
Domain: wcpdemo.com
SMTP server: smtp.wcpdemo.com

There is no need to fill out the SMTP server information when user are using our webmail . However, that information is required if users are using email software such as Outlook and Outlook Express.

* Some Internet Service Providers (ISPs) prohibit their users from using other company’s outgoing mail server, so they block the port 25. Under this situation, please contact your ISP for their outgoing mail server name and use their SMTP server instead.
